It is here, in the Sea of Galilee (also known as Tiberias), that Jesus presented Himself to the disciples for the third time after His Resurrection. Perhaps despondent after an arduous day of fishing, the disciples were frustrated about their situation. Jesus again meets his disciples in a way that is unique to them and in a way that they needed: in the context of their daily lives. Jesus performed another miracles, and asked Peter a very important question: Simon, Son of John, do you love Me?
Jesus’ question is not unique to Peter. This is a question He asks each of us, every day. Jesus also pairs love for Him with action with love for His people, by urging us to serve His sheep. Our faith in Christ must always compel us to act.
Question: How is Jesus asking you to serve?
Serve Christ anytime, anywhere, at any cost, to do anything.
